Some SaskTel customers may experience a slow down in cellular service at the end of the month. The Crown Corporation is retiring their EV-DO network on September 13.

Customers still using this technology will experience slower Internet speeds. Michelle Englot with SaskTel says the impact will be minimal, "it would be old devices that are non-smartphones, and would (use) very little data anyway."

"They will still have data connectivity after we turn it down, but it will be at 1X data speeds."

Out of SaskTel's 600,000 customers, approximately 2,400 will be affected by the change in service.
