The U18 AA Beavers were on the road Saturday afternoon, heading to Estevan for a pair of games against the Brewers. The first game would see the Brewers rally back in the 7th inning for a 14-13 win, and in the second game, the Brewers were firing on all cylinders as they played to a 13-3, six-inning win.

In the first game, Weyburn jumped out to an early lead as four runs crossed the plate. The first two were courtesy of a single by McLaren Keselring. Wyatt Godlonton then drove in a run on a single to centre with two outs, and Ryker Watt would round out the scoring when he stole home on a double steal.

Estevan replied in the bottom half of the first, then in the second, Weyburn added two more runs as Keselring drive in two more runs with a single, cashing in Seth Deis and Ben Manning. In the bottom half of the second, Estevan would put together a little rally of their own, scoring six runs to take a 7-6 lead.

Weyburn regained the lead in the fifth inning when Godlonton scored on a fielder's choice, and then Rylan Erb drove in Karston Geiger to make it an 8-7 lead. The lead would be short-lived, though, as a triple in the bottom of the fifth cleared the bases, and gave the Brewers a 10-8 edge.

Weyburn jumped back out front in the sixth inning as Dallen Oxelgren scored on a passed ball, and then a single from Sutter Balog brought in a run to make it 10-10. Then, Geiger cashed in Balog to make it 11-10. The Beavers then added to the lead in the top of the seventh as a double from Watt brought Manning and Oxelgren across the plate.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Brewers would take advantage of loaded bases to tie the game up, and the winning run was walked across the plate after an errant pitch hit the batter.

In the second match-up of the doubleheader, Weyburn again jumped out front, taking the lead in the first inning. The scoring started when Manning scored on a wild pitch, and then a double by Balog brought in Keselring and Watt. The Brewers, however, took over after that, and put up 13 runs over the course of five innings, resulting in the game being called in the 6th inning.

For the Beavers, they will look to get into the win column when they host the Brewers for a game under the lights at Tom Laing Park on Wednesday. The game starts at 7:00 p.m.
