The R.M. of Weyburn donated $2,500, the Crocus Quilters donated $1,500, and the Superannuated Teachers of Weyburn donated $1,000.

President of the Soo Line Historical Society Art Wallace says these donations are very important. He says they will, "help us very much to at least get us through all the summer months. You can be guaranteed any money we get, nothing is ever spent frivolously. We work basically month to month, but it will definitely go to good use."

Wallace says more people have been to the museum since the public found out about the museum's financial difficulties. Wallace adding extended summer hours will begin this weekend. "This coming weekend they will be starting 9-6, and on Sunday 1-6, Saturday and Sunday, right now it's just five days a week, but that's going to change this coming weekend."
