Officers from two RCMP detachments in southeast Saskatchewan provided some assistance to the Prince Albert Police Service when a traffic stop Thursday morning resulted in the arrest of a suspect in an attempted murder investigation. 

Officers from the Carlyle and Moosomin RCMP conducted a traffic stop of a truck in Wawota, according to a release issued by the Prince Albert Police Service, around 10:45 in the morning. The vehicle matched the description of a suspect vehicle in a shooting and collision that had happened in Prince Albert in the early morning hours of Sunday. 

The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation, and the suspect, an 18-year-old man, was taken into custody.
