While it's a milder week, by next week we will be looking at daytime highs in the upper 20s. This likely means the local children are already asking to go to the park, particularly the spray parks.

"Our staff are currently working on prepping the spray parks for the upcoming season and we're hoping to have them open May long weekend, weather permitting," said Program Manager with the City of Weyburn, Tina Clay.

She said this year they'll have the paddling pool at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot open two weekday mornings each week, beginning June 19th.

"We combined the program with the Mobile Play Parks so our staff does the Mobile Play Park in the morning and then they do the paddling pool in the afternoon," she noted.

She said the Mobile Play Park will be operating again this year on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. from June 19th to August 25th.

"On Mondays, activities will be at Jubilee Park, Wednesdays at River Park, and Fridays at Elks Park," Clay stated.

While it isn't typically as busy in the mornings, it's always open from 10:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, but will now be open during those times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in addition to regular afternoon and evening hours.

Weyburn's spray parks include the Young Fellows spray park at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot, which is located on Coteau Avenue east, and the River Park spray park is located along Confederation Drive. Both spray parks close at 9:00 p.m.
