It was a big weekend for volleyball teams from Weyburn Comprehensive School, with four teams taking part in tournaments on the weekend.

The Senior A Girls Volleyball Team was in Regina for the Mega Volley Tournament. They finished the pool play round with a record of 2-1, their lone loss coming against Lumsden with wins over Sheldon Williams and Winston Knoll, both out of Regina. In the re-pool round, they beat Harvest City and Thom Collegiate from Regina, and then topped Moose Jaw Central, moving them on to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, they beat Raymore in three games to advance to the semifinals, where they faced Moose Jaw Peacock. In the semifinals, the Eagles picked up the win to move on to the finals against Greenall from Balgonie. In the finals, the Eagles would win two straight games (25-19; 25-20) to take the tournament title.

The Senior B Girls team was in the Ogema/Pangman Senior Girls tournament, where they made it through to round-robin undefeated, picking up wins over Radville, Fillmore and Midale. In the semifinals, they played Gladmar and advanced to the finals where they were up against Yellow Grass. The Eagles would come out on top against Yellow Grass to start off their season with a tournament win.

The Senior Boys Volleyball Team took part in a tournament held in Avonlea and Rouleau on the weekend. They finished up the round-robin in fourth place in their pool, clinching a playoff spot. They would fall to Rouleau in the crossover playoff match, though, ending their run for the tournament win. The Senior Boys will be heading to Swift Current for a tournament next weekend.
