The Weyburn Red Wings annual Teddy Bear toss was staged Saturday night at Crescent Point Place.

Hundreds of stuffed toys were thrown onto the ice, as Weyburn scored its first goal of the game against the Yorkton Terriers.

The game turned out to be a losing effort for the Red Wings, who lost in an overtime shoot-out. But, it was a winner for the Weyburn Salvation Army.

The toys were gathered by Red Wing players and volunteers, and will be donated to the Salvation Army, which will distribute them to needy children at Christmas time.
