It's been a busy year for Weyburn's Tenille Arts and she doesn't show any signs of slowing down!

Last month, Tenille made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry.

"It was so amazing," she said.  "It was one of those pinch me moments, I couldn't believe it was real until I was standing back stage getting ready to walk out. I had a bunch of family and friends there and it was just an incredible experience. It was definitely a career milestone."

Although Tenille doesn't consider it her "I made it moment" she did note just how big of a moment it actually was.

"You're a part of history now," she noted. "I actually got to sign my name and be on this little plaque at the Grand Ole Opry for making my debut and its going to be there forever and I just hope I can go back many more times."

At the Opry, she performed two songs, including her latest single.

"This song is called 'Somebody Like That' and we just released it last week," she said.  "It's basically just about looking for the kind of love that you want and looking back at your parents and your grandparents and how they met and starting a relationship was really authentic and real and I feel like it's gotten a little bit less in the 'social media world' way of things these days."

She added that this song was fun to create and perform and it's the start of something a little bit different.

"This is the big release from an upcoming project that will be coming up in 2020 and it's kind of setting the tone for a little bit of a change in my music and I'm really excited."

The year isn't even close to over for Tenille though. Her next exciting journey will take her overseas as she tours across the UK and Germany. She'll be back in Weyburn next year as part of the Weyburn Concert Series.

"I'm just so thankful that everybody in my hometown has been so supportive," said Tenille.  "It means a lot so thank you guys!"
