One of the most unique events of the year is right around the corner.

Independent Riders from all over Weyburn and Area are gearing up for their annual Santa Claus Toy Parade for the Salvation Army.

Every year, the group sets up Santa's sleigh in the Wal-Mart Parking lot with the goal of collecting toys for the Salvation Army to use during their Christmas season. This year, they will be set up Thursday, Sept. 9th and Friday, Sept. 11th.

Then, Santa will join them Saturday at 1:00 for their annual parade. Every year, dozens of motorcycle riders join in the fun and drive around town, honking, waving and smiling as they help out kids in need this holiday season.

The parade will start at Legacy Park Elementary School and will travel through the city, ending at River Park Campground.

Head out to the sidewalks and give them a wave and a smile as they drive by.

Here's a look at last year's event.
