2021 had an extra dose of funny, when Saskatchewan’s Leroy and Leroy joined Tik Tok! Their family friendly humor resonated on all forms of social media and even entered into classrooms all over the Country.

Nick Myers, Leroy in front of the camera, shares how they finished the year “we set a goal of releasing consistent videos in 2021 and try to have 10,000 followers. Right now, we are just shy of 380,000 followers.”

The short videos initially were about the City of Moose Jaw, but after their surge of followers across the country. The requests poured in for Leroy and Leroy to film in other towns and cities. They hit the road in the summer and zipped through a few Canadian provinces.

Not only are the videos a hit, but Leory and Leroy released a children’s book. Myers explains, “So when we started taking off with Leroy and Leroy back in February 2021, we heard that teachers were playing our videos for their classrooms. So, our guideline is if an elementary school teacher can’t play our video in their class, we won’t film it. We will keep everything with that level of family friendliness in mind. Off of that, we said we should do a children’s book, so I sat down one afternoon and wrote it; not really thinking a whole lot of it. Leroy behind the camera, Nick Lamb, his mom illustrated the whole thing, she painted pictures for the whole book and it all came together.”

When asked what 2022 will bring, Myers says “we might have a little series of books on the way. Our goal in 2022 is to continue to travel across Canada, maybe even get down into the States if restrictions change. We want to complete our trip across Canada”
