Jeff Tosczak was back at the helm of his own car dealership on Tuesday. Weyburn Dodge, formerly Knight Dodge, officially became Tosczak's on October 1st, and the new signs just went up on Monday.

After selling Great Plains Ford in April of 2019, Tosczak said he enjoyed doing some cattle auctioning for the Weyburn Livestock Exchange.

"That was interesting, and I definitely learned a lot and had some good experiences out there as well," he shared, noting that just as he was navigating his motorhome on the open road, COVID restrictions changed the world.

It was this shift in the way we lived our daily lives, in fact, that helped steer Tosczak back into the driver's seat of his own business.

He said he is looking forward to being back around the public once again.

"I really wanted to get back in touch with people, get back into an environment where I was working around people again, get back into the community. I missed all the community events. I think everybody missed the community events that were going on, that we'd attend here in Weyburn, with nice big groups and fun charity auctions and stuff, which none of that really happened for two years during COVID."

The automobile business, for Tosczak, however, is not just about the cars.

"Dodge makes a very, very nice product. To be fair, and I've said this for years, all the manufacturers make a good product," he commented.

"The real question is service. People want to get looked after, they want to know that they mean something as a customer, and with me buying this store, I think we have a real opportunity to really dig into service."

He said he's currently working on building the best team they can, "so that we can have awesome service here and awesome sales experience, and be a community-oriented store."

No plans are currently in the works just yet, though, for a Grand Opening celebration.

"I just invite everyone to come on down to the dealership, say 'hello'," he encouraged. "Currently, there are a lot of changes that we hope to make, positive changes, so that's going to take a while."

"Rome wasn't built in a day. We're going to work with the team here and maybe make some additions to the team, and that's going to help so that we can serve our community the best way we can."

Tosczak added that he is, "happy to be back."
