The U15 AA Annugas Wings will be looking to advance to the next round of the SAAHL playoffs Monday night when they visit the Regina Aces. The Wings are coming into the game on the momentum of winning game two of the best of three playoff series between the two by a 9-4 final at Crescent Point Place Saturday afternoon. 

The two teams scored a flurry of goals in the final moments of the first period Saturday, with Regina getting on the board when Austin Dorais scored with 3:31 to play. Then, Weyburn rattled off three goals in two minutes, starting with a goal from Ryder Gilroy with 2:57 to play. He was assisted by Evan Guest and Aidan Mohan.  

Guest would score two goals in a row for Weyburn, the first with 2:23 to go, assisted by Mohan. He then added a power play marker with just 55 seconds remaining in the period. Gilroy and Justin Whitrow had the assists. 

Whitrow opened the scoring for the second period just 2:32 into the frame, assisted by Langston Gold and Brennan Brown. Gold then made it 5-1 Weyburn 22 seconds later. The tally was assisted by Whitrow. 

Kaleb Sheasby made it 6-1 with a power play goal with 5:03 to go in the period. Brown and Gilroy had the assists. 

Regina would get a goal back in the third when Roan Burgess beat Nicolas Forsyth just 1:40 into the period. Gilroy replied back for Weyburn with a power play goal at the 4:43 mark, assisted by Mohan.  

Regina would score two goals in quick succession to cut the lead down to 7-4, with Logan Mehl scoring on the power play at the 6:39 mark, and Eli Johnson at the 9:17 mark.  

Gilroy, though, would finish off the hat trick with a power play goal, assisted by Wade Franks and Brown, with 6:48 remaining. Then, Mohan added a power play goal with 5:56 to go, assisted by Brown and Franks. 

The two teams will meet Monday night in Regina. The winner advances to the next round of the playoffs.
