The U18 A Southeast TS & M Gold Wings had a challenge on their hands Saturday, as they hosted the Southwest Cyclones in Midale. The Cyclones would come out on top, skating to a 5-1 victory. 

The Cyclones jumped out in front with 5:57 to play in the first period on a goal from Abbie Noble. Then, Emerson SOmmer made it 2-0 with a shorthanded goal with 21 seconds to play in the period.  

Anik Piche added to the lead for the Cyclones at the 1:31 mark of the second period to make it 3-0.  

In the third, Shyanne Lich would make it 4-0 at the 2:12 mark.  

The Gold Wings replied at the 6:30 mark of the third. Dixie Corscadden scored an unassisted goal to make it 4-1. The Cyclones, though, would restore the four-goal lead with 9:07 to play on a goal from Chenielle Elviss. 

The U18 A Gold Wings are back in action Friday when they head to Regina to take on the Rebels.
