Variations Choir is set to bring its spring performance to the stage this weekend and this year they’re mixing things up a bit by adding some vintage footage.

“Our theme is hits of the 60s and 70s. So, we brought back all sorts of music, you know. Kind of all the ones we could find that were great for choirs and then we've added a little bit of video and some old footage of some TV commercials,” said Director, Colleen Weimer.

“We have a really good variety of music. I think people are going to really enjoy the different songs we have. We've got a set that we're doing with just the women, sort of women's empowerment songs of the 70s featuring things from Helen Reddy, Karen Carpenter, and then the men are doing a country 70s theme,” added Weimer.

The performance will take place at the Grace United Church on Saturday, May 6, at 7 pm and in the afternoon on Sunday, May 7 at 2 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for students.
