Just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the Moose Jaw Police Service, EMS and Fire Department were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 at the Main Street North overpass in that city.

According to the police, a southbound vehicle on Highway 2 struck a guard rail and launched off the roadway, landing on the westbound lanes of Highway 1. The vehicle was then struck by a westbound semi.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was treated by EMS on the scene and released.

Damage is estimated at $60,000, and the police continue to investigate.
