With the daytime high of zero today and -1 tomorrow, this will be a great weekend for outdoor activities in Weyburn.

While some are happy just to enjoy a walk along the trails, the kids may want to head down to River Park to take advantage of the free access to toboggans and sleds at the Weyburn Oilwomen's Sled Shed

Others may wish to go ice skating on the Souris River or at the Spark Centre's Outdoor Rink.

Snowshoes are another option. The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation has a great program called the "Bigfoot Snowshoe Loan program." Read more HERE.

Snowmobilers have plenty of trails to take advantage of in the area. Read more HERE.

The Young Fellows of Weyburn will be collecting the not so living Christmas trees from residences in Weyburn this Sunday morning.

If you would like them to pick up your tree, ensure you put it out onto the curb  if you haven't already, by Saturday night.

The Young Fellows recycle the trees into mulch, which helps to nourish the city's gardens.
