The Weyburn Comprehensive School's Eagles Football season for this fall has been announced and their first practices will be held on Monday, August 23rd.

On that first day, equipment will be given out and they are planning for a full practice to take place at 4:15 p.m.

The first regular-season game is slated for Saturday, September 11 followed by games being played every Saturday going forward with the possibility of the league moving a game to a Friday with a prior notice being released.

This will be a regular season with six games before the playoffs to follow and they will be arranging to play at least one exhibition game before September 11th.

They are also excited to announce that their Junior Varsity program will be returning this year for students in Grade nine and 10. The Weyburn coaches have been in contact with a number of programs in other communities that have expressed interest in this idea and they are hoping to hold a five to six-game season that would be played separately from the senior games.

If anyone is interested in joining the WCS Eagles this year they can send an email with their contact information to Coach Jody Kerr.
