With Phase 4 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan set to start on Monday, baseball is getting ready to resume as well, after a false start last week based on information presented to them by the province’s Business Response Team.

Weyburn Minor Ball is gearing up for an alternative season which will run from July to August. Registration for this season is expected to start in the coming days. For those who had registered for what would be the normal season in the months of May and June, those registrations are being cancelled.

Those who made a payment for the registration fees will have the payment returned in the same manner as the payments were made. Those who had registered but had not paid fees will not have to take any action.

Last week, based on information provided to Baseball Sask, it was announced baseball could begin this week. However, the provincial government backtracked the decision and stated the sport would be included in Phase 4.
