With the success of last fall's flag football league, Weyburn Minor Football is considering extending the program to more youth.

They are holding a meeting on Monday to determine whether or not there is enough interest in the communtiy to run another flag football program for boy and girls ages eight through 17.

"Last year we ran a flag football league in the fall for kids six, seven and eight, and it was a big success," says Weyburn Minor Hockey President Brent Allen. "We've planned to do that again in the fall for that age group. The idea came up that we might want to offer a league for older kids in the spring so it doesn't conflict with our tackle football league in the fall."

Anyone interested in a spring flag football league can attend the meeting at the Credit Union Community Room at 7 p.m. on February 13.
