While it likely was a non-event for many who were busy or unable to see it with the naked eye, some Weyburn and area residents took the time today around noon to have a safe look at the solar eclipse event, and they were happy to share their photos with us.

A number of local groups, including the Fillmore Public Library, hosted events, while other groups took advantage of homemade or store-bought viewing devices to take in the natural astronomical phenomenon.

The gallery photos with the blue tint were taken by Jessie Kohl, with the more grey, cloudy ones captured by Kaleigh Churko, and the darker pink-hued ones were captured by Nicole Griffin.
