For those who love a twinkle tour, River Park has been the ultimate winter evening drive destination in Weyburn, and will be again this December. Clearly visible in the evenings from Highway 39, Weyburn  something more to offer again for even the 'accidental tourist'.

Weyburn Tourism is excited to launch River Park Sparkles again for the third year. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals will soon be decorating campsites at River Park, which is a draw for visitors from far and wide.

Executive Director with Weyburn Tourism, Larry Heggs, said the campsites are all spoken for, and they've even got a waiting list.

"So that's fantastic," he commented. "Been in some conversations with a few businesses, and I'm expecting it to get bigger and better every year, as we grow with this."

"So there's some some great ideas have been tossed around and I'm looking forward to it," he shared. "You know, it's a surprise to us as well. So it just it just shows community involvement, brings people to our community, supports tourism. There's just so many plusses."

"It's our business community that just gets behind these kinds of things."

Heggs said it's a great draw for tourism.

"I know of people that come from upwards of 100 miles away to come and see it every year, and some of them come multiple times a year."

The event will run from December 6, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022.
