New colours, a new logo, and a new slogan.  

Weyburn Tourism held a launch party for their rebranding Wednesday afternoon, showcasing the new look.  

The process for the changes began months ago, explained Monica Osborn. She is the executive director of Weyburn Tourism.  

“We started back in about February or March, so with just launching today, on November 15th, I mean, it’s been all a long process, but it’s been so educational and our branding partners just helped us immensely in getting, really, the word out there that we needed to have for our messaging,” Osborn said of the process.  

The new look definitely impressed those in attendance at the launch party.  

“It’s very good to see the new logo,” said Mayor Marcel Roy. “It gives lots of life, and not that it didn’t have a life before but it’s just very, very vibrant.” 

The sentiments were echoed by the president of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, Steve Shuck. 

“I’m really excited about the Weyburn Tourism rebrand and the new slogan, What’s Up Weyburn,” Shuck told Discover Weyburn. “It’s going to be terrific for our community, and I hope it drives people from outside of our community to check out what we have to offer.” 

“I love it,” shared Weyburn City Councillor Jeff Richards. “I think we can have a lot of traction with What’s Up Weyburn. I love the new logo, and kudos to Monica and her team for putting it all together. It’s going to be fun.” 

As for where the slogan came from, Osborn pointed out it has been used for a long time, and it just made sense to incorporate it. 

“It just brings its own call to action,” Osborn said.
