The Borderline Fastball League kicked off Wednesday night, and all three Weyburn based teams were in action. All three teams came away with victories as well.

The defending champion White Lightning were on the road. They travelled to Fillmore to take on the Foxes. The White Lightning began their 2018 campaign on the right foot, picking up an 11-2 win.

The Shehawks were also on the road to start the campaign. They travelled to Odessa to take on the Country Steelers, a new team in the league this year. It would be the Shehawks coming out on top, with a 17-4 win.

The Queen Bees played at home, hosting the Midale Knockouts at Tom Laing Park. The home team came out on top, winning 18-9 in a game which was called partway through the bottom of the fifth inning for safety.
