With three games on the go, it was a full night of playoff action in the Big Six Hockey League Tuesday night. By the end of the evening, all three of the best-of-five quarterfinals saw a team with a 2-0 lead in the series, setting up a few days of decisive hockey.

In Arcola, the Combines were looking to draw even with the top-seeded Redvers Rockets. The Rockets would score early, and often, en route to a 7-0 win, pushing Arcola/Kisbey to the brink in the series.

Redvers had seven different players score in the win, as Braden Magotiaux, Drew Hoff, Francis Lamotte, Trevor Dumaine, Kelsey Kenler, Kenton Miller and John Potapinski all found the back of the net. Dumaine would finish up the evening with four points as he added three assists as well.

Cody Matthewson earned the shutout in goal.

The next game in the series will be in Redvers. The date has yet to be determined as the Rockets will be playing Provincial games on the weekend.

The Bienfait Coalers were looking to build on their win in game one in Carlyle, when they entertained the Cougars for game two of their series Tuesday. This time, the Cougars came out strong, with a late goal by Bienfait needed to force overtime.

In the extra period, the Coalers would be the ones to come out on top, winning 5-4, with Dylan Herzberg scoring the game-winner. The Coalers also got goals from Craig Fournier, Dallas Kickley, Taysen Holt and Daniel Wanner.

Carlyle had a pair of goals from Devon McGonigal in the loss, while Brett Turgeon and Dakota Rose also found the back of the net.

Game three in the series will be back in Carlyle on Monday.

The Midale Mustangs were hoping the return to home ice would help them as they looked to draw even with the Carnduff Red Devils in their series. The Red Devils, powered by a strong performance from Cody Dumaine in net, would end up being the ones to get the victory, skating to a 3-0 final.

Jordan Cooney, Jason Boyes and Derek Cooney all tallied in the win for Carnduff.

The third game of the set will be played Thursday night in Carnduff.

The other quarterfinal series, between the Wawota Flyers and Yellow Grass Wheat Kings, resumes Thursday in Yellow Grass. The Wheat Kings lead the series 2-0.
