The Midget AAA Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to force overtime but were outlasted by the Melville Prairie Fire. Melville scored in the second overtime period to come away with a 4-3 win.

The Prairie Fire came out in the first period and took the lead when Jaydea Guenter-Belte scored a shorthanded goal with 5:20 left on the clock. Weyburn would reply in the second to tie the game up. Katelyn Blair notched her first of the year, assisted by Payton Mabee and Madison Lafoy.

Melville would jump back out in from before the second period was over, though, when Guenter-Belte would score her second of the game. Kailey Ottenbreit then scored for Melville 4:10 into the third period, giving the Prairie Fire a 3-1 lead.

Jayden Lindholm then started the rally back to tie the game up. Just past the halfway mark of the period, she would score her second of the year, assisted by Kanna Keisig and Dakota Bowler. Less than three minutes later, Lindholm would tie the game up with her second of the game. The goal would be the one to force overtime.

In the first extra frame, neither team was able to score. This meant a second overtime period. The Prairie Fire would be the ones to score, just 29 seconds in. Heather Fiske scored a shorthanded goal, giving the Prairie Fire the victory.

Daneka Dickson made 59 saves for the Gold Wings in the losing effort.
