Kyle Haines, who has spent the past four seasons with Fife in the EIHL, is now off to Florida. (photo courtesy Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club)A new home for Weyburn’s Kyle Haines this hockey season. The defenseman has signed with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL.

Haines has spent the past four seasons with the Fife Flyers of the EIHL in the United Kingdom. In 189 games, he picked up 96 points, including 32 goals. Over the course of his career, Haines has played with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL, Greenville Road Warriors and Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL, and Chamonix-Morzine in France.

Haines was a captain with the Red Wings and played with the team from 2005-08. He then went onto Lake Superior State University in the NCAA.
