There were three games Wednesday night in the WHL, and two of those games played at the East Division hub in Regina.  

The early game saw the Brandon Wheat Kings skating out to a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes, and they would go on to pick up a 6-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos. Nolan Ritchie scored twice in the win, the goals coming just over two minutes apart late in the second period. Lynden McCallum, Rylan Thiessen, Brett Hyland and Vincent Iorio also scoring for the Wheat Kings in the win. The lone goal from Swift Current was tallied by Matthew Ward.  

With the win, the Wheat Kings expanded their lead over the Saskatoon Blades for first in the division to three points. The Broncos falling to 4-16-1-0 at the hub with the loss. 

The second game had the Winnipeg Ice and the Moose Jaw Warriors playing at the Brandt Centre. The teams were unable to sort things out through 60 minutes, leading to overtime, where Jakin Smallwood scored his second of the game to give the Ice a 6-5 victory.  

The other goals from Winnipeg would come from Skylar Brice and Peyton Krebs, who had two each themselves. Riley Krane, Daemon Hunt, and Jagger Firkus scored a goal each for the Warriors, with Daemon Hunt scoring two. 

Winnipeg improved to 15-5-1-0 with the win and is tied with Saskatoon for second in the division, while the Warriors slipped to 8-11-2-0, and are one point back of Regina for fourth place.  

In Kelowna, there was one game in the B.C. Division with the Vancouver Giants taking on the Victoria Royals. The Giants found themselves down early in the first, and in the second, but rallied back both times, and skated to a 5-3 win.  

The Royals had goals from Brayden Tracey, Tarun Fizer and Ty Yoder. The goals from the Giants came courtesy Alex Kannok Leipert, Eric Florchuk, Justin Sourdif, Zack Ostapchuk and Justin Lies.  

Victoria is still looking for their second win of the season and is in last place in the B.C. Division with a record of 1-10-1-0, while Vancouver moved ahead of Kamloops for first in the division with a record of 9-3-0-0.
