The Midget AA John Hulbert Construction Wings made it three wins in three days Monday, with a 3-2 overtime win on the road over the Regina Capitals. The win was also the fifth in a row for the Wings, who are also 8-1-0-1 in their last ten as they move up the standings.

The Capitals were the first to get on the board when Brayden Lovas got the puck past Matt Dutchak just past the halfway mark of the opening period.

Weyburn would reply before the period was out, taking advantage of penalties by the Capitals.

It started with a goal on the power play from Hudson Hall with 3:51 left on the clock. The tally, his 11th of the campaign, was assisted by Brogan Schmeltzer and Axel Lund.

Just two minutes later, Lund scored a goal of his own on the power play. Schmeltzer and Gavin Doud were credited with the assists.

In the second period, the Capitals would tie it back up at two, as Riley Woykin scored with 5:40 left on the clock.

Neither team was able to score in the third period, sending the game to overtime. There, it would be Parker Douglas coming through for Weyburn. He scored at the 1:12 mark of overtime. He was assisted on the goal by Hall and Sam Chittenden.

The Midget AA Wings will now get a bit of a rest. They will be back on the ice next Tuesday when they host the Regina Vics at Crescent Point Place.
