The Weyburn Red Wings continue to bolster the roster ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The team announced two new signings Wednesday.

Jessie Young is coming to the Wings from the Vancouver NE Chiefs, of the BCMML. Originally from Port Coquitlam, B.C., the 99-born forward had 35 points, including 14 goals, in 39 games last season. In two seasons in the BCMML, he had 47 points.

The other new signee is Cade Kowalski. A 99-born forward as well, he played with the Pembina Valley Hawks last year. In 43 games, he amassed 15 goals and 48 assists. Prior to joining the Hawks, he played high school hockey in his hometown of Morden, Manitoba, where he had 346 points in 118 games.

Thursday morning, the team announced they acquired 98-born forward Shae Kiryk. Originally from Saskatoon, he was with the Campbellton Tigers of the Maritime Hockey League. He spent the 2016-17 season with the Kindersley Klippers and the La Ronge Ice Wolves. He had six points in 39 games.
