The annual Santa Claus Toy Run for the Salvation Army, put on by the Weyburn Independent Riders, has come to a close.

Every year, Weyburn Riders show up for the event armed with new toys. For two days, they also accept donations from the community.

According to the Salvation Army, 250 toys were donated, along with roughly $490 in cash.

"It was a very successful event today," noted representatives from the Salvation Army. "We are going to have enough toys for Christmas this year. With that being said, we do not require any more donations of toys this year."

They also noted that they will be returning to their Adopt-A-Family format for the upcoming holidays.

As for the Riders, they all seemed to enjoy the ride.

"Thank you to the independent riders and all the other riders that travelled to be a part of this event and making it a great success."
