For many parents, the question in the back of the mind after putting a car seat into a vehicle is, ‘Is it in properly?’ For those who wonder that, Weyburn RCMP, the Weyburn Police Service, SGI and the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute have you covered.

The four organizations are partnering up Thursday for a car seat safety clinic at the Canadian Tire in Weyburn. The clinic will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Officers from the Weyburn RCMP and Weyburn Police Service will be there to check the car seats, and ensure they are properly installed.

Those who are unable to get to the clinic can contact the Weyburn RCMP, or the Weyburn Police Service, to make arrangements to have the seat checked at no cost.

If someone is pulled over, and has a child not properly restrained in the vehicle, the fine can be $175.
