Terri Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott will be helping Weyburn kick off the weekend when they perform with this year's CP Holiday Train. The train rolls into town at 5:45 p.m. with performances starting at 6:00 p.m. and the train leaving Weyburn at around 6:30 p.m.

Residents interested in attending the event are reminded to bring a non-perishable food item for donation.

"Things that we could really use right now would be rice, juice, juice boxes, school lunch snacks, can meat, can fruit, macaroni and sidekicks," says Jennifer Lorinczy Community Ministries Coordinator for the Weyburn Salvation Army.

GFL is donating $500 worth of groceries for the Salvation Army's food hampers.

"GFL will have a truck all lit up, it will be quite large and they will be there to take food donations on our behalf as well," says Lorinczy.

The Salvation Army, Discover Weyburn and GFL will be kicking off the event at 4:00 p.m. with goodies and fun.
