The Radville detachment of the RCMP are investigating a series of thefts in the area around the town.

Since mid-March, there have been reports of four vehicle or commercial batteries having been stolen in the Radville area. The first three instances involved commercial businesses where the batteries were being stored outside in an unsecured area. It is believed the suspects drove into the business yard, loaded up the batteries, and drove off.

The fourth incident happened Wednesday night. In this instance, the suspect, or suspects, entered a farm yard southeast of Radville. They removed several batteries from vehicles and machinery parked in the yard.

The RCMP are cautioning those in the agricultural industry who have their equipment outside to get prepared for seeding and spraying to be aware of the thefts in recent weeks.

The RCMP are asking anyone report any suspicious vehicles seen in the rural areas around Radville.
