The City of Weyburn was a buzz on Saturday for the Rider Block Party. The event which raised funds for Weyburn Minor Football was a huge success.

"It's always good to support the youth and the future generations to come," says Ed Gainey, Defensive Back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. "You know when you got people putting together events like this it's always a good thing for the kids to be a part of and just to get out and come together as a whole community."

The event had a Q and A with defensive back, Ed Gainey and running back, Cameron Marshall. Wide receiver, Rob Bagg was also in attendance, taking pictures and signing autographs.

"I got to see a lot of great people meet a lot of great people," says Cameron Marshall, Running Back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. "It's cool to see the fan base, we're about an hour and a half out of the city where we play in and it's just as crazy up here as it is down there so it's great to see that we have fans all the way out here."

The night included an abundance of activities for little ones as well, and the event was fun for the whole family.
