Two cases which have captured the attention of the public in recent months were in Weyburn Provincial Court this week.

In one, a Beaubier man appeared facing charges of assault, uttering threats, overcoming resistance, resisting arrest, and a breach of a probation order. The charges stem from an incident on July 23rd.

Isaak Neufeld Boldt asked for his case to be held over to allow time for him to find representation. His previous attorney had withdrawn from the case.

Another case saw a 37-year-old Weyburn man make an appearance. He is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement and breach of release conditions. His case was held over to December 19th, as he is awaiting disclosure.

His name, not published due to the nature of the charges, was arrested on October 5th. Police had received a complaint, and the resulting investigation resulted in the arrest.
