The Weyburn Comprehensive School Senior Band and Choir just wrapped up their music trip to Edmonton, Alberta. The group made up of 105 students from grades 10-12 as well as 13 chaperones. Directors Tanya Cameron and Holly Butz started out the tour on Wednesday, February 12 by heading to Saskatoon to perform at the Wildwood School.

After wrapping up at the Wildwood School, the students continued their trip to Edmonton where they attended a dinner theatre that evening. They then performed a pair of concerts the next day in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain before attending the Tony award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen.

The students were able to take in the West Edmonton Mall and do some shopping before their big event that night. The students were given the honour to perform and be the Stage Experience at Rogers Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers for two intermissions of an Oil Kings hockey game, a once in a lifetime experience. Over 10,000 people were in attendance.
