The City of Weyburn is reminding residents that fallen leaves and yard waste do not belong in the blue recycling bin.
Leaves, yard waste, and garden waste are accepted in the curbside garbage bin but items must be bagged or bundled and tied; loose items are prohibited under the City's Refuse Bylaw No. 2018-3391.
The City of Weyburn landfill has a compost pile free of charge for residents to dispose of leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, yard waste, and sod. Charges apply for wood pile items such as clean lumber, cut-up trees, stumps, and branches. Find landfill hours HERE.
