The Weyburn Beavers closed out their road trip to Alberta Sunday afternoon in Brooks. The game between the Beavers and the Bombers was tied 3-3 heading into the sixth inning when the Bombers exploded for eight runs and came away with a 14-3 victory. 

In the loss, Ryan Dauphinee hit a solo home run for the Beavers, with the other runs being driven in by Braeden Cordes and Will Baker, who had a double each.  

Nolan Machibroda, tied for the league lead in home runs and leads the league in RBIs, was hitless for the first time since July 1st.  

On the mound, Lucas Zimmer had the start, and went six innings, giving up five runs. John Nicholson came on for the seventh inning and would give up four runs in one inning of work, including two home runs. The eighth inning would see Anthony Porcellato come out to finish the game, giving up five runs.  

The Beavers will be back at Tom Laing Park on Tuesday when they host the Regina Red Sox to kick off three home games in four nights.
