Once again this year CAA Saskatchewan are assisting youth in further pursuing their education through their annual scholarship program.

Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations for CAA Saskatchewan Christine Niemczyk provides some details on the scholarships.

"Since 2006 CAA Saskatchewan has provided these annual enterance scholarships. The eligability applies to high school graduates planning to attend the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytehnic. The scholarships at the UofR and UofS are each $2500 and you must be either a CAA Saskatchewan member or a child of a member and of course a resident of Saskatchewan."

At Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the CAA Saskatchewan Scholarships are $3,750 in total and include the Automotive Service Technician Program at the Saskatoon Campus ($1,250) and at the Moose Jaw Campus ($1,250), plus the Auto Body Technician Certificate Program ($1,250) at the Regina Campus.

Regarding the CAA Scholarships at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, recipients have already been identified for 2021/22. Starting on May 15th, 2022 those interested in applying for scholarships can do so for the 2022/23 academic year.

Being a CAA member or child of a member is a requirement for U of R and U of S  but at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, scholarships are also open to non-members.

Niemczyk reflects on the benefits of the scholarship program.

"I have to agree with our CEO Fred Titanich who agrees that with the program were helping students continue with their educational journey, helping them to invest in their future and we know these past couple of years have been challenging times. Many of the classes are virtual versus on-site and students maybe just needing a little bit of help to continue their educational journey."

In addition, Niemczyk says the program allows them to reach out to students and invest in their future by helping them to find the career of their choice.

More information on the scholarship program can be found by contacting the educational insitutions directly or by visiting here.
