The City of Weyburn is inviting the public to the Fleet Storage Building, located at 55 Sixteenth Street on Wednesday, June 19th, for an open house and barbecue.
The event will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and will feature interactive displays, and equipment demonstrations from the City's public works, police, and fire departments.
The public will have an opportunity to learn more about the City's public works and emergency vehicles, including street sweepers and fire trucks. At last year's event, children in attendance were especially excited about getting to meet Jessi the fire dog, and Oakley the K-9. Children also enjoyed the machinery on display.
Not only will burgers be served by City staff, the event also offers an opportunity to meet those who keep the City of Weyburn running.
The event is free to attend.
