For the seventh year in a row, Magic 103, Country 106.7, AM1190, and are teaming up with The Family Place for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.

50/50 for Kids presented by Don’s Plumbing and Heating!

From May 6th until 24th, members of both the Radio Stations and The Family Place will be set up at various locations throughout the City selling these 50/50 tickets. Half of the proceeds go to one lucky ticket holder with the other half going directly to The Family Place.

“We are super excited to be doing 50/50 again,” said Executive Director of The Family Place Dawn Gutzke. “Just getting out in the community, seeing everyone, feeling the support and we’re super excited for some new locations this year for live-on locations and hoping to see everyone out getting their tickets!”

Over the next three weeks, 50/50 for Kids tickets will be available in various locations thanks to the help of our participating sponsors, Venom Welding and Mechanical, Vortex Plumbing and MegaDry, T&C Restaurant and the Liquor Spot, Pharmasave, Quality Plumbing and Heating, Canadian Tire, Rona, Route 39, Leicester’s Restaurant, and Don’s Plumbing and Heating.

Tickets are available for $20 each or a pack of 6 for $100 and aid the Family Place in all they do throughout the year.

“The Family Place is Weyburn’s early years family resource center,” explained Gutzke. “So if you have children between the ages of zero and five, this is where you should be coming. We have something for everyone. Family programming, playrooms, lots of new rooms too.”

She added that they get many donations throughout the year and 50/50 for Kids has been an important one for the past seven years.

“50/50 ticket sales actually have been a very vital part of our budget here at the Family Place. It’s brought in over $100,000. It’s a big reason why we’re able to continue to grow our organization and just continue to grow for our community expand programming and just do wonderful things for families. So this year, we’re hoping to crush our previous numbers and just help us to continue to do what we do.”

Tickets will be available on location weekdays between 11 and 2, with the exceptions being the final day, May 24th, when we will be set up at Don’s Plumbing and Heating from 11 until 5. The big draw will be made on May 27th.

“We just want to thank the radio station, all our friends down there, for putting this fundraiser on for us,” added Gutzke. “And to the community for all you do too.”
