The rain started yesterday, and it is expected to continue into the overnight hours tonight.

The data from Environment Canada showed Weyburn received 4.8 millimetres of precipitation last night, with some spots in the area getting more, and some less. The forecast is also calling for upwards of 15 more millimetres to fall in Weyburn today. If this forecast holds, it will be the most rain in a 48-hour period since May 25-26 of last year.

In areas west of Weyburn, particularly around Aneroid, Ponteix, and over to the Alberta border, there are some concerns there will be too much rain, as Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning. The warnings also encompass a large portion of southern Alberta. There, up to 75 millimetres of rain could end up falling by tomorrow morning.
