A successful fowl supper was held on Tuesday evening at Weyburn Comprehensive School, with over 450 in attendance.

"We had students and staff contributing to bring food to host, to serve, to entertain, and to do cleanup," shared Principal Renee Cuthbert. "So lots of people working together and partnerships from different areas of our school."

"That was a great evening. Our jazz band played, and our senior choir, singing, and lots of our athletes, who are the people that are responsible for bringing the food. So they did a fabulous job, as they always do."

"Our SRC helps to do the hosting and some of the serving and we had the Gold Wings out, they were doing a lot of the work setting up and taking down, along with the Red Wings this year, too, we've got a few that are here at the school but also a few extras that came over to support as well. So a great opportunity to mix with community, and a great opportunity to showcase a few things that we've got going on around our school, too."

Cuthbert said the event helps out with their SRC and extra-curricular groups.

"But then it pushes its way out into other other things as it goes to support all of our students in the building," she noted. "So it's the fundraising piece of it, but it's also the opportunity to have people come in and share some of our school with the community."
