The Weyburn Leisure Centre’s outdoor pool was the scene of the Saskatchewan Summer Swimming Provincial Championships on the weekend. Athletes from 20 different clubs across the province came out to compete.  

The Weyburn Silver Seals were well represented at the event, with 19 swimmers taking part in the various events, which were spread across a number of age groups. In all, Weyburn athletes came away from the event with 17 gold medals, seven silver medals and nine bronze medals.
