Shocking news coming out of Humboldt, as Head coach and General Manager of the Broncos Nathan Oystrick is no longer with the team. After taking over following this year's tragedy, Oystrick had guided the team to an unbelievable start to the season.
Oystrick sent out this tweet less than half-an-hour after the news broke.
I have stepped away from the Humboldt Broncos. Despite the extreme stress and constant pressure of working with the organization, I gave them everything I possibly could and am proud of their performance, and mine, this season.

I will issue a proper statement shortly.
Humboldt has been a terrific feel-good story this year and has bounced back to sit 4th in the league with 21–13–3 record, good for 45 points.
Assistant Coach Scott Barney has been handed the interim duties for now.
