Volunteering looks great on a resume, and it also helps with skills-building and community connection.

The Weyburn Public Library's Fall Book Sale will be coming up from October 19th to 21st, but first, donations are being welcomed beginning Monday. With that, the WPL is looking for some volunteers leading up to that day to help sort and organize the donated materials.

The sorting dates are the Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of next week and the following week (October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and the 10th, 11th, and 12th) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Anyone who would like to help out with this can contact the Teen Programmer, as this is also a great opportunity for local teens to get in their volunteer hours.

"Come do something to feel good about the colder weather coming and it is a great chance to see which books you want to buy on the first day," the WPL shared in a social media post.

Email wplteenprogrammer@southeastlibrary.ca to let them know you're coming, but they do also welcome drop-in volunteers on those days.
