The other day we had the opportunity to chat with local man Richard Roy about a brand new game show that he has created that can be played from the comfort of your home!

And best part of all... this game show is 100% FREE!!!

"Everyone's self quarantining themselves, they're staying at home, and since we can't go out and perform for you guys we want you to log onto the internet and play with us," explained Roy. "So we developed a live interactive game show online. And it's going to take place at 8:30 PM (Central Standard Time) on Wednesday nights."

How can people take part?

"It's on our Facebook page, Big Time Gameshows," Roy told excitedly. "You just log on, you don't have to sign up and it doesn't cost any money. We're not making any money on this. We just want to entertain people while they're stuck inside their homes. It's gonna be absolutely amazing! It's called Big Time Live. And the winners are even going to get some prizes! We're giving out Amazon gift cards and some special Big Time Gameshows swag and merchandise. It's gonna be a lot of fun!"

So how does the game work?

"It's gonna be a trivia game," Roy said. "So as soon as you log on you can play just by answering the trivia questions in the comments. And our software actually calculates all the scores and tabulates everything. And then the winners are going to be the ones that win the prizes."

What made you decide to do this?

"It was the fact that not only we had all our gigs cancelled for the next three months but we also thought 'how is anybody going to be entertained when they're stuck at home?'" Roy explained. "So we thought 'let's bring the game show to them.' So this is something we've been working on for the last few months and kept it under our hats. We wanted to debut it in the summer, but you know what, let's do it now! Now is a better time than any other time."

So you've played this game once so far, how did it go?

"The first one went amazing with 278 contestants that competed against each other through 30 trivia questions," answered Roy. "Alyssa Deadman from Regina took first place with 26 correct answers. She won herself a $50 Amazon gift card. Kelly Wilson from Weyburn took 2nd place and Aaron Young, from Kelowna, B.C. (formerly from Weyburn) placed third and they earned some Big Time swag."

What do you have planned for this week?

"This week is really exciting as we are doing a progressive prize for first place," Roy told. "If we have over 250 contestants, we’ll give away a $50 Amazon gift card. If we get over 500 people to play, it will be a $100 gift card, and if we get over 1,250 contestants, then first place will be a $250 gift card. The runner up prizes this week will be a wireless keyboard and mouse from Absolute Computer Services for 2nd place, 3rd place will be a gift certificate to New Age Electronics. This week’s theme with be the 90’s, so get ready to play Big Time LIVE! because this show is just too legit to quit!"
