It was a less busy week last week for the Weyburn Police Service, with only 57 calls for service between December 6th and 12th.

Police laid a total of twelve charges with five under the Criminal Code of Canada, and seven under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

An assault last Monday at the Weyburn Comprehensive School resulted in two females being charged with assault.

Police also received numerous reports last week of frauds. They remind, be aware of who you are giving personal information to, and never give out credit card information or personal information to someone that you do not know.

After an individual was stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign last Friday, they presented signs of being impaired by alcohol. The individual was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples resulting in samples more than twice the legal limit.

A motor vehicle accident on Sunday occurred due to an individual failing to yield to oncoming traffic. The driver of the vehicle who failed to yield was charged with "fail to yield". One of the vehicles was not drivable, no one was injured.
