The Sunrise Early Learning Centre recently received a contribution of $3,000 from Prairie Sky Coop to go toward their toy shed at Legacy Park Elementary School.

Danielle Knoll, Member Relations Manager with the Coop, says their web site has a place where organizations can apply for funding, and they were glad to help, as it fits in line with their community engagement priorities.

"We do on our website have a you know, a spot that people can go on and applies for some donations for any larger items, or if they're having any activities or fund raising things going on," she explained. "So I received some information they were just looking to purchase a shed they want to preserve some of their outdoor equipment and toys and things."

"It was definitely something that we wanted to be a part of, and if we can help out in any way, then we definitely will," she noted. "We like to spread our funds out in any way that we can, whether it's from sports or the arts, or, you know, education, or anything to do with kids as well. Those are really important to us."

The Sunrise Early Learning Centre's outdoor shed will protect the dedicated outdoor toys and equipment from thieves and from the elements.
