In October the Weyburn Youth Centre held its annual banquet and auction fundraiser, it was announced that the unofficial total raised was $5000, however, the official total is over twice that amount.

“We have an official total now, and it's much higher than we originally realized. So, we now have a grand total of $12,500. We've had some more donations come in, so we're super excited to announce that,” said board member Susan Adderley.

The funds raised from the event all work to help keep the doors open so that the dedicated volunteers can continue to offer a safe place for local youth to enjoy.

“I just want to thank everyone again for all the businesses who faithfully donate every year, wonderful auction items, and of course those people that came out, the bidders, we need you and we couldn't do without you. So, a big thank you again from everyone at the Youth Center,” added Adderley.

The Youth Centre is open on Friday evenings from 7 pm to 10 pm and is free for youth ages 10 and up.
